Dr Emma Courtney grew up in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She completed her medical degree at Dalhousie University and graduated in 2025. Emma’s medical interests include women's health & obstetrics, as well as minor procedures. She loves being outdoors and keeping active, eating good food, knitting, reading, and spending time with friends & family!
Dr Hanan Elawadi was born in Egypt and grew up in Saudi Arabia. She completed her medical degree at Dalhousie University and graduated in 2025. Hanan’s medical interests include comprehensive family medicine, minor procedures, and preventive medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. They often visit the playground and connect with other families, especially on beautiful sunny days. She has a supportive and loving family, including her husband and children. They enjoy spending quality time together, especially outdoors activities like walking and gardening. Their support keeps her grounded and motivates her both personally and professionally.
Dr Jennifer Emesih
Dr Jennifer Emesih grew up in Nigeria. She completed her medical degree at Dalhousie University and graduated in 2024. Jennifer’s medical interests include women’s health and addictions. In her spare time, she enjoys baking and hiking.

Dr Sara English grew up in Dartmouth, NS. She completed her medical degree from Dalhousie University. Sara’s medical interests include primary care obstetrics, dermatology, and minor procedures. She enjoys travelling, cooking new recipes, and spending time with friends and family. In her spare time, she likes hiking, biking on rails to trails, painting, reading, and going for walks with her dog Toby.
Dr Esther Essah
Dr Esther Essah grew up in Accra, Ghana. She did both her undergrad and medical training at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana and graduated in 2018. Esther’s medical interests include Women's health, acute care, and addiction medicine. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, fishing, and cooking.
Dr Nour Issa
Dr Nour Issa grew up in Amman, Jordan. Her medical interests include obstetrics and gynecology. She enjoys baking and is a mother of three
Dr Sadaf Mohtashami spent most of her adult life in Montreal, Quebec. She completed her medical degree at McGill University. Her medical interests cover the full spectrum of family medicine—from acute care to chronic disease management—with a particular interest in procedures. She values the continuity of care and the diagnostic variety that family medicine offers, and she enjoys building long-term relationships with her patients. Fluent in both French and English, she is committed to delivering compassionate, comprehensive care to her community. Sadaf’s hobbies include hiking, exploring new cuisines, and engaging in water activities such as kayaking or swimming. She enjoys tasting different dishes and socializing with friends.
Dr Ashwini More grew up in India. She completed medical school at the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), India, and she pursued her second medical degree at Dalhousie University after immigrating to Canada in 2018 and graduated in 2025. Ashwini’s medical interests include women's health, dermatology, and procedures. She enjoys baking, gardening, and spending time with her daughter participating in children's activities. She lives in Halifax with her 4-year-old daughter and husband.
Dr Nadia Nabi
Dr Nadia Nabi was born in a small city tight-knit community called Srinagar (North India). She completed her undergraduate degree in Rajiv Gandhi University in Bengaluru (South of India). She completed her medical degree from M.V.J. Medical College and Research Hospital, also in Bengaluru. Nadia’s is passionate about Women's Health. She loves delivering babies and caring for the elderly population. Her hobbies include trekking, playing badminton, and working out at the gym.
Dr Gagan Oberoi
Dr Gagan Oberoi grew up in Punjab, India. She completed medical school training in Kharkov, Ukraine and graduated in 2020. Gagan’s medical interests include comprehensive primary care, geriatric medicine, and hospitalist medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys reading books, watching sunrises, watching movies at Cineplex, leisurely drives, and visiting beaches in the summer.
Dr Stephen Park grew up in Lark Harbour, Newfoundland. He completed his medical degree at Memorial University and graduated in 2025. His medical interests include acute care and minor procedures. In his spare time Stephen enjoys working on physical fitness, cooking, and gardening. His hobbies include drone videography, golf, and woodworking. His family consists of his partner, Scott, and a miniature golden-doodle named Chip.
Dr Emily Philpott
Dr Emily Philpott grew up in Corner Brook, NL. She completed her medical degree at Memorial University and graduated in 2024. Emily’s medical interests include women's health, emergency medicine, maternity/low-risk obstetrics & newborn care, and global Health. Her hobbies include hiking, surfing (poorly) & travelling.
Dr Reyhaneh Rahimi grew up in Tehran/Iran. She completed her medical degree at the Tehran University of Medical Science (TUMS} and graduated in 2018. Reyhaneh’s medical interests include family medicine. Reyhaneh enjoys painting and hiking.
Dr Nyka Riego grew up in Newfoundland and Qatar. She completed her medical degree at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and graduated in 2024. Nyka’s medical interests include emergency/urgent care and gender affirming care. She has three nieces and a nephew who all live in Halifax, so she’s excited to be back in Halifax to spend more quality time with them.
Dr Meghan Sullivan
Dr Meghan Sullivan grew up in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She completed her medical degree at Dalhousie University and graduated in 2024. Meghan’s medical interests include Indigenous health, preventative health, dermatology, and primary care obstetrics. Her hobbies include getting outdoors, relaxing with a book, and trying out new recipes, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Dr Victoria Vezina grew up in Montreal. She completed her medical degree at Dalhousie and graduated in 2025. Victoria’s medical interests include emergency medicine, primary maternity care, public health, and preventative medicine. She enjoys being physically active whenever possible and spending time with her young family.
Dr Rebecca Visser
Dr. Rebecca Visser grew up in both Halifax, NS and PEI. She graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2017 with an Honours B.Sc. in Biomedical Science and a minor in Business. She then completed a Master in Health Administration with a specialization in Health Law at Dalhousie University. She graduated from Dalhousie Medical School in 2023. Rebecca’s medical interests include sexual health, celiac disease, prenatal care, care of the elderly, and minor procedures.
She is an avid ringette player as well as dancer, she enjoys many other sports as well. Rebecca also likes sewing and she has an interest in fashion. She lives with her wonderful husband (Jeremy).
