Dr. Daralyn DeBaie grew up in Porters Lake on Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore and attended Dalhousie University for her undergraduate biology degree. She then worked for a couple of years as a Forest Ecologist in Truro, NS before attending medical school at Dal. She completed her residency from Dalhousie’s Halifax site in 2011. She did locum, urgent care, and family medicine obstetrics work in HRM before joining the department in 2021. She is on Team 2 at Mumford and is a prenatal/obstetrics provider and a procedures clinic provider. She is an NRP instructor and is registered to be a certified PoCUS (point of care ultrasound) provider in 2023. She is also the Assistant Postgraduate Program Site Director at the Halifax Site.
Her interests outside of work include being a hockey mom of three children, camping, skiing and mountain biking.
